Established in 2009, Pony Tail Acres offers English riding lessons for all levels of equestrians, from pleasure riders to advanced competitors, both children and adults. Our riding program focuses primarily on Eventing, Dressage, and Jumper training. We have group lessons available and semi-private or private riding lessons can be scheduled at your convenience. During the summer, we offer a Children’s Day Camp (See the Summer Camp page) and we also participate in the US Pony Club and Horsemaster’s Program through Pony Tail Acres Riding Center (see USPC Riding Center Tab).
Our lesson program is what we like to consider a “Total Rider” program. The rider not only learns how to ride, but how to care for their horse and equipment. Each lesson is an hour long which allows for grooming and tacking. As the student progresses in the program, the instructor will start to recommend coming early and staying late to have the student groom and tack outside of the lesson time so that more time can be devoted to riding.
The instructor at our facility carefully pick our lesson horses and match each student to the best suited horse. We pride ourselves in providing safe and personable mounts for our riders.
Our program allows for students to show off their abilities through attending horse shows. The farm attends many shows throughout the year, as well as hosts clinics from other instructors both in our area and nation wide.
