Riding Academy and Horse Boarding Stable in Powder Springs, GA

Pony Tail Acres is a family friendly equestrian facility located on 38 acres in Powder Springs. As a full service boarding horse farm that also offers riding lessons in our Riding Academy, our mission is to provide the best care possible for all the animals in our care. While we focus on eventing, our staff is has over 40+ years experience caring for horses of all breeds and disciplines.
Riding Academy
Through our Riding Academy at Pony Tail Acres we have created a program that focuses on creating traditional horsemen and women. Riders are not only given instruction on riding, but horse management and care of equipment. We feel that this gives a rider a wider range of options on what they can do with their riding career, should they choose to pursue it as a career instead of a hobby. Our United StatesPony Club Riding Center was the first approved riding center in Georgia, and remains the only approved riding center in Cobb County. Access to the Pony Club program affords our riders more opportunities than many of the other programs in the area.
Another benefit of our program is that it also encourages good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and team membership, which is a rarity in the equestrian world as most of our competitions are individually based. Riders who compete in shows, cheer for one another and encourage each other to do their best. It’s fun to be part of a team and our team is like family. One of our younger riders sang “We Are Family” on her cross country course at Eventing Rally, so it has caused us to coin our hashtag #wearefamilypta. We would love to welcome you to our farm and show you how wonderful our family is.
