Welcome!
Pony Tail Acres is an equestrian facility located on 38 acres in Powder Springs, GA. We are a full-service horse boarding farm that also offers horse riding lessons through its Riding Academy. Our primary focus is always on providing the best care possible for all the horses in our care. While we specialize in eventing, our staff has over 40 years of experience caring for horses of all breeds and disciplines.
Riding Academy
Our Riding Academy is designed to foster traditional horsemanship and create knowledgeable horsemen and women. We provide riders with instruction not only on riding, but also on horse management and care of equipment. Our program offers a wider range of options for riders who may choose to pursue a professional career with horses instead of just a hobby. We are proud to be the first approved riding center in Georgia for the United States Pony Club. Our riders have access to the Pony Club program which offers more opportunities than many of the other programs in the Atlanta Metro area.
Our program also places a strong emphasis on good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and team membership which is a rare find in the equestrian world, where most competitions are individually based. When our riders compete, they cheer for one another and encourage each other to do their best, and help console each other when rides don’t go as well as we would have liked. We believe in creating a fun and inclusive environment for all of our riders and their families, which is why we like to say that #wearefamilypta. We would be thrilled to welcome you to our farm and show you how wonderful our family truly is.
